About Dollscar
Dollscar
Dollscar is an annual BJD convention and exhibition festival dedicated to BJDs and other ball-jointed dolls.
Dollscar Began in 2009
It started as a non-commercial project. We used to organize themed gatherings for BJD enthusiasts, and one of those themes was cinema. Dolls were dressed as characters from films and animated movies.
That's where the name comes from — an allusion to the Academy Awards, better known as the Oscars :)
The event was such a success that visitors demanded we make it an annual tradition! The organizers simply had to oblige :)
Dollscar Today
Dollscar is the main event of the year for everyone who loves ball-jointed dolls. Creative competitions, a vendor area, presentations of new works by doll artists, participants from Russia and abroad — and endless opportunities to connect with like-minded people.
Our exhibitions have always had a very specific target audience: collectors of ball-jointed dolls. We maintain this approach to this day, deliberately avoiding large-scale advertising campaigns aimed at people unfamiliar with the doll world.
Our Principle
By the community, for the community.
We provide doll artists and makers of doll accessories with an excellent platform to showcase, promote, and sell their creations to people who are genuinely interested in their work.
For collectors, Dollscar offers opportunities for creative self-expression and the largest fair in Russia dedicated exclusively to ball-jointed dolls and related products.
Dollscar Organizers
Alexandra Smokotnina (Anchous) and Veronika Mikhaylichenko organize Dollscar on behalf of the BJDClub community, the largest Russian-language community of ball-jointed doll collectors.
